This is a little glimpse of me...

Hello,

My name is Tamzin, I am a mother of four beautiful children and have a wonderful husband who supports my craziness behind a camera.

But don't let this statement fool you, I am at times sleep deprived, drink lots of coffee and have my name called 5632 times a day!

But lets start at the beginning of my career in Photography...

 

The love of photography ​started when I was no older than 8 years old. I came across my

 Father's Olympus camera that he kept in a black leather case under the stairs on a shelf, I remember it clear as day. I was fascinated with it and just loved hearing the sound of the shutter when taking a picture, I would put the timer on and listen over and over again.

You can imagine my excitement when I received very first camera. It was red and came free with a pair of LA Gear trainers, nothing flashy, but none the less it was mine.

Some years later I enrolled at the North West Kent College of Creative Arts, picked up that DSLR camera in the studio and the obsession with hearing that shutter started all over again...and here we are today.

Training is an important part of my photography. I have trained for natural lighting, locations sessions, studio sessions, Newborn safety and Maternity Photography by professional and world wide award winning photographers within the industry.​

I continue to invest in photography training, particularly, newborn as I feel that the safety of your children is the most important aspect of a baby led newborn session. They are after all the most precious gift of all.

I believe in telling your story through the wonders of photography.  It was only recently I was having the discussion of 'is it a memory or a photograph?' This is particularly true in my life and a question I ask myself on many occasions. With just one, half full, photo album from my childhood I wonder if this is why I find it so important?!

 

When I photograph your family it is fundamental to me that I capture 'your perfect'. Whether that is laughter, tears, tickles or big family hugs.  I don't believe in the perfect picture as every family, child and couple have their own type of perfect. Your own story to tell.

January 2022 saw the launch of my brand new studio!

The space is incredible and I absolutely adore it.
